Tablet Advertising for Mining Weekly

Launched in October 2011, the Mining Weekly International Edition for Tablet devices is available to iPad and Samsung Galaxy users. This weekly edition is presented in a magazine- type format and provides readers with the most important mining stories, conveniently grouped into three regional sections i.e Africa Europe, Australasia and Americas. Each week’s edition of the Mining Weekly International Edition for Tablet will also profile a global mining operation and provide updates of developments at ongoing mining projects.

During the first three months of 2012, a number of 2 072 editions were downloaded.

The new upgraded version of the Mining Weekly iPhone application offers iPhone users handy access to the news shaping the global mining industry – in real time, by region, by sector and in multimedia formats. The application also offers subscribers features such as:

• Geo-targeted news feeds for Africa/Europe, Australasia and the Americas
• Access to back copies of the African and International editions of Mining Weekly
• Sector-specific news alerts

STATISTICS

During the first three weeks of the relaunch,over 300 iPhone users downloaded the new application, while the earlier version of theapplication recorded over 15 000 downloads
