Motic was established in 1988 as a hi-tech industrial enterprise specialising in manufacturing microscopes in Xiamen, China. Since then Motic has opened sales offices in Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Spain and the United States. Their manufacturing base consists of 4 wholly-owned factories which includes their research and design facilities. The company has focussed on affordable traditional optical microscopes, digital microscopy solutions, imaging hardware and software solutions, and digital image scanning and archiving.
