African Mining Roundup Report
Creamer Media launches new African Mining Roundup Report
As part of its ongoing commitment to delivering timely and useful information on mining, Creamer Media has launched a new monthly report - the African Mining Roundup.
This report, which will be available to subscribers to Creamer Media's Research Channel Africa and Mining Weekly.com Research, will be published on a monthly basis, giving readers a synopsis of mining activity across the continent over the past month.
The roundup delivers the information in an easy-to-read disaggregated format, covering exploration and feasibility studies, projects, operations, corporate activity and general trends in the sector. Each summary is preceded by a headline, highlighting the country and type of activity involved.
Since Creamer Media was founded, in 1981, the company has reported on the development of the mining industry, initially with a focus on South Africa and, more recently, with attention to global mining activities. The African Mining Roundup draws on the work of the company's journalists and correspondents based around the globe.
Sheila Barradas, Creamer Media's Research Coordinator, explains that the inaugural African Mining Roundup, published in mid-November, incorporates information from 24 African countries, including the traditionally large miners, such as South Africa, Botswana and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as some less prominent mining countries.
Stories range from updates on exploration activities to breaking news about new projects, details on happenings at existing operations and reflections on company results.
Creamer Media CEO Kenneth Creamer says that the African Mining Roundup is intended as a business and information tool for decision makers involved in the mining industry. "In the current age of information overload, the African Mining Roundup will enable executives to access business-critical information efficiently," he explains. This is clearly in line with Creamer Media's commitment to providing information that can facilitate business.
